Our Story

La Nueva Jerusalem was started in 1972 by the Late Pastor Teodulo & his wife Rosa Elia Garcia. In 1982, they were able to complete the building of the initial church on the corner of NE Ave E and G in which they began in the kitchen and later completed the sanctuary.

Around the year 2000, Pastor Teodulo had a vision of growth and reaching Andrews, TX for the Lord. So he begin praying and planning to build something bigger and greater. And so the plans begin as he purchased 13 acres of land on 2535 NW Mustang Dr. In January of 2007, Pastor Teodulo Garcia passed away after his battle with Bone Marrow Cancer.

That year marked a period of transition as Pastor Isai Garcia became the next pastor of La Nueva Jerusalem. On March 26, 2011, Pastor Isai Garcia married Leticia Garcia and together they continue to pastor La Nueva Jerusalem Church here in the city of Andrews. On October 2, 2012 they welcomed their son Benjamin Garcia and on May 1, 2015 they welcomed their daughter Gianna Zariah Gracia.

About Us

At La Nueva Jerusalem Church, we have a passion for people to know Jesus. We are a congregation that is rooted in the love of God and is dedicated to making it known.

Our heart is to see people transformed by the love of God. Our desire is for the love of God to be manifested in our love for others, love for our community and igniting revival in our City.

La Nueva Jerusalem’s Mission is simple: To Know God and Make Him Known

We’re Part of the Assemblies of God

The Assemblies of God (AG) was founded in 1914 in Hot Springs, Arkansas with 300 people at the founding convention. Today there are 13,004 churches in the U.S. with more than 3 million members and adherents and more than 69 million Assemblies of God members worldwide, making the AG the world’s largest Pentecostal denomination.

As part of the AG, we subscribe to the 16 doctrines established two years after its founding. These doctrines became our Statement of Fundamental Truths. Four of these truths are considered our core beliefs due to the key role they play in reaching the lost and building the believer and the church: Salvation, Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing and The Second Coming of Christ.
